Bio: Adam is the perfect teacher for beginners and kids, as well as anybody who would like to learn how to read music, and arrange compositions in music notation. Whether you would just like to learn the basics, or learn how to create complex finger style arrangements, Adam is the teacher for you. He can play a wide range of styles from folk/bluegrass to rock, or from punk/metal to country. He has been playing music since the age of ten, and has been in countless bands and studio projects around the Bay Area for the last ten years. He is also more than happy to work with kids under the age of ten. So if you're just looking to learn how to play your favorite song, or you'd like to get your child a head start in the musical arts, then Adam is the teacher for you.
Adam can also teach you how to create your own home or project studio. If you not only like to learn how to play your instrument, but would also like to learn how to record your songs and arrangements, Adam can help you. He is versed in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Reason, and Studio One. If you’ve always wondered what MIDI really is, and whether you could incorporate it into your song writing, then look no further. Adam runs his own studio in Santa Cruz, and has been involved in several recording projects over the years. He is also a working live sound engineer, and installation engineer. He can teach you everything from signal flow, to more advanced techniques, such as modifying wave forms to find unique and interesting sounds, and reamping.
Adam also teaches ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, and beginning piano. When you learn the language of music, you are able to break down the barriers between all the instruments. Adam can teach you how to look beyond just learning one instrument, but to look at every instrument, and its place in the musical spectrum.
